My very first attempt at making whipped cream. Looks good but it's waaay more than I need. #cookingathome
This time around, we saved space for dessert. Deep Fried Ice Cream: vanilla w/whipped cream @kubkhaoTo.
Pad Thai w/shrimp: rice noodles, eggs, tofu, bean sprouts, chives, tamarind sauce, ground peanut @kubkhaoTo. It was good but I think a spicy version would have been better.
Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken: eggs onions, cashew nuts, curry powder @kubkhaoTo.
Larb w/pork: onions, coriander, mint leaves, ground peanuts @kubkhaoTo. It's a pile of ground meat sitting on a bed of shredded cabbage and it's the kind of thing I never get tired of.
Chicken Toast with sweet chili sauce @kubkhaoTo. We wanted to try this on the first visit but they were sold out. Glad we were able to order it this time. It's slightly reminiscent of deep fried tofu, only tastier.
So we went back to @kubkhaoTo with a friend in order to try more of their menu.
Roasted Duck Curry: lychee, tomato, bell pepper. I liked the lychees in this just much as the duck. @kubkhaoTo
Choo Chee Pla: fried fish, curry paste, coconut milk. Absolutely delicious but has a bit of a kick. The fish was cooked just right. Absolutely delicious but has a bit of a kick. @kubkhaoTo
Tom Yum Soup w/chicken: mushroom, tomato, lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, lime juice, chilli. It has a nice sweetness with just a hint of heat. @kubkhaoTo
Tom Kha Soup w/chicken: mushroom, coconut milk, lemon grass, lime leaves, galangal, lime juice, chilli. I would've slurped from the bowl if I wasn't worried about being rude in public. @kubkhaoTo

The Test Bake: sugar-free cakes that taste good. No artificial subs or alternative sweetener #cookingathome

Truly Sugar-free Vegan Banana Cake & Carrot Cake
Not-quite-bunny rolls. I need lots more practice but they still look cute & tastes good. #cookingathome
This @KyoukaRamen soup is flavourful & spicy, yet also light. Kyouka Ramen: edible kelp stock, daily chicken broth pork, aromatic sesame oil, green yellow chives, bean sprouts, pork chicken chashu, egg, naruto fish cake, woodear mushroom, chili paste.
@KyoukaRamen's soup is now officially my favourite. Shio Ramen: edible kelp stock, daily chicken broth clam, salt, pork chicken chashu, egg, seaweed, greens, naruto fish cake, special ship tare (liquid seasoning).
Ordering tendon at restaurants can be hit or miss. The Slow-Cooked Beef Tendon from @KyoukaRamen is definitely a winner: (beef tendon served over rice) sake, mirin, soy sauce, ginger, green onion, seaweed, chili paste.
Tried out @KyoukaRamen today. Their noodles are among the best that I've eaten in the GTA.
Sizzling Pork Cutlet in Black Pepper Sauce with "Sizzling and Pot" set meal (includes soup) @chamechabbt
There's also a fried egg hidden under there.
Belgium Truffles Milk Tea (black tea) with tapioca @chamechabbt
Taiwanese Crispy Chicken: tender and juicy with a salt & pepper coating. This is happiness. @chamechabbt

What to do with all the kale and sausage left over from making @altonbrown's Christmas Soup? #cookingathome #cookingonthefly
