Dinner tonight is more octopus experimentation. Noodles topped with cucumber kimchee and octopus.

This is the final plate with octopus pasta on chickpea purée. Fresh chickpeas are fabulous! Great color, and flavor.

Here's the final octopus with home made pasta. This will go over the fresh chickpea purée.

Cutting up and tasting. Very tender! Great flavor! Boiled for 10 min w/herbs. Sit in water to gradually cool. PERFECT!

Also using fresh chickpeas. Lots of shelling to do here.

So look what my honey @Binkertje brought home for us to play with for dinner tonight!

Spent the weekend helping a bit @gothbergfarms with the kidding. They take such wonderful care of their goats.

@surlygourmand You r right about Mexican food on the whole here, however found these in Mt. Vernon believe it or not.

So there was a great sale on beef tongue we just could not pass up. I see smoked tongue in the future.

I was going to make a fresh fettuccini carbonara for dinner tonight but, look what @Binkertje and I found downtown!

New Years' breakfast carries Southern theme from last nights' gumbo dinner. Pimento cheese and smoked ham on biscuits.

Part of the damage of X-Mass eve dinner with @Binkertje. This sake was amazing with the oysters.

@Binkertje and I visiting with my aunt and her shih tzu Holly. She is such a sweet dog. Great companion for my aunt.

Onions sweated 5 hours + duck stock + french bread + cheese = a pretty darned good onion soup.

And here are my little duck friends hanging in the basement. Can't wait to taste!

First attempt at meat curing. Duck prosciutto. 1 breast w/juniper berry, thyme, oregano. This is 5 spice n crushed pep.

Just finished cutting pasta noodles for shrimp scampi while listening to ACDC 'Thunderstruck'. That was fun!
