Mid State Trail, Day 3 

This morning Jena, Paul and I set out on the third leg of our 2013 Mid State Trail hike. We covered about 15 miles, from Rt 9 in Spencer to Rt 122 in Rutland. We also crossed the Midway of the Midstate (44 miles). Theweather was great, not too hot or humid, but we were beleaguered by gnats and 'squitos. We passed through the outskirts of Treasure Valley Boy Scout Reservation and Browning Pond, which I hadn't laid eyes upon since I last volunteered there in 1994. Wow. Our next venture, which should happen some Saturday in September, will take us 15 miles from Rutland, through Barre, to Princeton.
