IWS Day 2: Quotes

On my way to the opening convocation, I thought I just had to post these three quotes that embody my experience thus far.
1) Laura: Does anyone have any dietary needs?
Jeremy and Me: Copious amounts of Ale
2) "If you ask for seconds at the Eucharist Meal, you might be a redneck."
3) David: I went back to get something at my host family's house and set off their alarm!
Jeremy: What'd they say?
David: I don't know, I just high-tailed it out of there!

I've been attending post-doc studies with my pastor Lou and my great friend Dr. Rodney Shores at the Institute for Worship Studies in Jacksonville FL. We have had the privalege of leading worship for the morning chapel services and we've been using some of my more adventurous arrangments which have been received very well for which I am grateful. The services are in Grace Episcapol Church and I thought I'd share a picture of the sanctuary.

After a day of thunderstorms, we were greeted with beautiful blue skies and sunshine this morning. We'll heading back to highlands to hang for the day. Hit "The Pizza Place," if you are ever in town. Good beer and pizza and the guys are great as they let me hang there for 3 hours with a sprained ankle while the rest of my group dunked around town.

The Clouds Finally Lifted

Later, as we walked along the ridge, the sun burned off some of the fog and we got to see some beautiful sites. Everything was great until we got down the mountain to level ground. There, all it took was one slippery rock and "bam," yours truly has a level 2 sprain. Thank God I'm with a doctor, an RN, and and a sports med Ninja!
