Finally museums are reopening! 📣Just before lockdown I created a soundscape for the exhibition B.A.S.S. (Black Archives Sound System) that is part of The Refresh Exhihibition at Amsterdam Museum B.A.S.S. is part of L.O.B.I. ARCADE by brian elstak a series of artworks that address different themes but are united by the arcade cabinet shape. It was especially an honor to dive in the vinyl archives of The Black Archives. @the_blackarchives

The Black Archives is a historical archive and cultural center where poeple can go for inspiring conversations, substantive activities and books from black and other perspectives that often remain underexposed elsewhere. Here I have had the pleasure to explore saved sounds from Suriname, the Netherlands Antilles, South America, Africa and more. Finding the right samples to put it all together with a twist and create a musical story - together with brian elstak @denzillah7000 and @reintjeaandepraat .

The Refresh exhibition will open again on Saturday 5 June and has been extended until 25 July 2021 Amsterdam Museum.
