What a pleasant surprise; I get out of work and its not dark as midnight. We decided to break in this season of extended daylight by going for a hike up Garcia Trail; that's right, both of the girls! Liana cruised it up the hill riding the powerhouse that is Dad, while Haley slipped up and down the mountain and tumbled on several occasions.

Haley and I are relaxing and savoring today's dramatic overtime win. We are both proudly sporting our #9 jersey in support of our leader, who was practically sent to the guillotines by both Cowboys haters and fans alike just last week. I even received a chant of "MVP!" at the grocery store following the game as a fan took note of my jersey. Either way, Haley enjoyed this victory. She could be heard yelling "Romo, touchdown!" hours after the game. A perfect reminder of a tough victory; and music to my ears.

Kobe and the boys are looking for a win and we are looking to cheer them on along with Larry David and the rest of the LA celebrities. Lets go Lakers!

It's 6:40am, Haley has awoken, she is ready to face the day. And what does she decide to do? She brings her bed to the hallway and opens a good book.

I like to try new types of food and food combinations, so when some friends of ours asked if we wanted to try Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles I wholeheartedly agreed. Despite whatever your prejudices are regarding breakfast and fried food, you would be pleasantly surprised and how perfectly these two foods complement each other. Well-portioned waffles with plenty of butter: GOOD. Crispy fried chicken: GOOD. What's not to like?

I had a hearty dinner prepared by Haley. On the menu: Green and red apples, grapes, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, potatoes, toast, bananas, French fries, asparagus, cake (strawberry and white), turkey, bagels, and broccoli. Hopefully one day, they will not be plastic.

We are capping off our visit to Las Vegas viewing Cirque du Soleil Mystere. None of us have seen this acrobatic freak show, but were exited to enjoy this one of a kind experience.
