#Naruto ch551: Itachi & Naruto make a hell of a team. I assume Sasuke's the next confrontation? #manga 

True to form Pain's powers are a b*tch; and they're even worse once
he's combined his techniques upon his own body. But Itachi
immediately exploited the weakness of Pain using his own body for the
techniques. He's a wide open target. Once he's stopped so are all
his techniques. It was nice to see Nagato again, but it looks like
time won't be wasted. On to the next one.

I'm assuming that Itachi's purpose now is to confront Sasuke and his
goals. Maybe Itachi holds a truth that Madara doesn't want exposed?
He's been involved in the deepest darkest parts of Konohagakure, the
Uchiha clan and Akatsuki. I'm sure whatever he has to say will be
more of a bombshell than anything his resurrected self can physically
do.
