#Dantalian ep11: that was extremely subtle and well done. Finally, the dark biblioprincess. Bravo! #anime
So the evil biblioprincess makes an appearance. And true to what
imagine of her, she's rather free with the information. The "nein"
thing is rather cute. Probably because I speak English it doesn't
throw me off as much as Dalian's "yes" does.
I don't understand Ilas at all, then again the show hasn't made much
of an attempt to explain his motivations up until this point.
Basketball w/ two dapper male characters playing with their shirts
loose? Me thinks the ladies will like this...
A cloud demon?! Oh what the hell?! It must be a Phantom book now, right?
As I said in the title, I thought this episode was extremely well
done. Unlike other episodes I had seen from this show, everything was
not so easily figured out or even guessed. I had no idea Ilas was
dead, or that the Phantom Book was incomplete. Seeing a fiery Huey
was a bit of a surprise, too. What really topped this episode off was
seeing how it all tied into the first aired episode. I knew I had
held out hope for this series for a reason.
Of the eleven aired episodes (not counting the strange half-episode
and pre-episode numberings), I've only really enjoyed a handful. Many
of the others have been fluff or barely passable. My expectations for
a series ratchet up quickly once you get past the five episode line,
so I'm hoping Dantalian no Shoka can keep its head above the water
with this level of storytelling.
