#Bleach ch493: holy sh*t! That's a nasty ability! #manga 

I always wondered since I saw Uryuu in the early Bleach episodes why
quincy couldn't just harm spirit entities by absorbing reiatsu. Well
now I know, they just weren't strong enough, until now. It's a really
gruesome way to "die". I suppose this would be Bleach's version of
the nuclear or chemical option. It's brutal and ugly.
