#MuvLuv ep18: acceptance. #anime 

Good grief!

Things are finally getting worked out. Though, it seems that some of
the resolution in this show is leading towards more conflict. Lt. Cui
has openly confronted Princess Takamura about her bland to even
callous treatment of Yuuya. She's thrown down the gauntlet quite
clearly when it comes to wanting Yuuya's penis.

The Scarlet Twins affections for Yuuya aren't hidden either. And it
seems their creepy Soviet (I keep wanting to write Russian) superior
is creepily and ominously pleased by this circumstance. He seems way
too comfortable with manipulating the military and BETA for his own
goals.

Also Yuuya seems to be moving on past his own past and his hangups.
But his rival from the American military hasn't made any progression.
Does that mean he stunted as a pilot, too? I guess we'll find out in
their eventual confrontation.

And we even get to see some of the cute bartender's (Natalie?) past.
Man, I guess she is quite lucky to be alive. She looks like she was
about to starve to death in her flashback.

All in all, I'm thinking this farce of a tournament will be shunted
for some BETA theatrics soon. You can just feel it with the pacing of
the show. And Inia is slowly starting to creep me out more. There's
no way she doesn't know a hell of a lot more than she does. That's
the way Japanese writers like to write little girls who end up
spending a lot of time around adults. She's gotta be a real freak.
