#BTOOOM! ep4: I don't know whether to say the kid is the worst person in the world, or his dad. #anime 

So this is what makes the anime so exciting! That was pretty damn fun
to watch. I certainly didn't want to stop. The beginning of this
episode was all grimdark and twisted, which is to be expected. I
don't know how anyone can let a kid, no matter what, get away with
rape, then murder of three women. Sh*t! Then we find out that the
dad is just an abusive, twisted bully! I don't think the bastard had
ever had consentual sex. He's probably taken everything he's ever
got!

Worst of all, despite the fact that he was abused by his dad, that kid
(somewhat ironically named Kira) is more than willing to take on his
dad's philosophies and views on life, even after killing him. That's
why I say, I don't know who's worse.

But Sakamoto and Kira's duel was by far the best. I guess it's the
show's way of showing its potential. We see two BTOOOM! players
dueling in real life (so to speak). Of course Sakamoto is a complete
pansy, because I don't think any normal person is comfortable killing
a kid. And the show's real potential is only shown when he freaks out
from blood loss and goes "into the zone."

Good stuff. If I was watching the sereis on DVD/blu-ray, this would
be the perfect spot to make me want to keep watching. Even if episode
five turned out to be boring as hell for no apparent reason.
