I guess Mina has a conscience, though she still took a ruthless action. And it's obvious the entire school is torn over Mina. There are the hateful humans, the admiring humans, the jealous vampires and the loyal vampires. I'm not sure all the members of the student council are part of the same group. I'd dare say one of them's a vampire himself. This is a short series, I'm sure it won't be long before it is all revealed.
