I think we're learning a lot about Lucy during this arc. She's always had tons of untapped potential, but during this arc we're learning the effect her trust and faith is having is having on the relationships with the Zodiac. While Angel's being abandoned, she's getting unrequested help.

And while a lot of time had been spent on the brief relationship between Wendy and Mystogan, Gerard and Erza's encounter was the real highlight. Wonder what Gerard meant by her hating him in the future? Is he still being controlled? He's easily this show's biggest mystery, him and the dragons.
