Best Selling Single of Elvis Presley

The undisputed King of Pop seemingly never made a bad record, but “It’s Now Or Never” holds the title as his best-selling single with more than five million physical copies sold.
The R&B song was released in 1960 and spent five weeks at the number one spot in the United States and eight weeks in the United Kingdom - as well as in numerous other countries, making it Presley’s most successful international single ever.
The song’s release was delayed in Britain due to rights issues, allowing it to build up a large number of pre-orders, which was very rare at the time. When the song was re-issued in 2005, it spent another week at the number one spot.
Presley’s inspiration for the song was based on the Italian song “O Sole Mio” by Eduardo di Capua as well as “There’s No Tomorrow” by American singer Tony Martin. The song was even credited as being the inspiration for Barry White’s music career.
