Remembrance Day 

On Remembrance Day in Canada we Honour the sacrifice of our Brave men and women in uniform. Today, I Honour my Mother who was a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy. After her enlistment ended, she was involved with the USO and many other military non-profit organizations for vets and their families. She was a lover of "all things Navy" including Midshipmen football. The American flag flew outside our home each day as it was raised in the morning and lowered in the evening. My mother was a true patriot, a lover of God and her Country until she passed.

Sometimes we take for granted our freedom. We think it is owed to us but in reality it is we who own a debt of gratitude to those who keep us free. To all those like my mom, "Lest We Forget."
