Here's how the steak kebabs turned out. The runny stuff is a traditional chimichurri.

1st small plates are on deck:kebabs in blood orange marinade w/chimichurri & fig pinot noir crostini w/camembert.
Here's how the pinot noir fig jam turned out for the crostini. Used 2 lemon slices & local honey, too. So. Great.
Next up: marinade for steak kebabs. Base is sweet soy sauce & blood oranges w/cumin and serrano pepper added.
Prep for wine pairing dinner party has begun.Pinot Noir dish is:fig crostini topped with Camembert & fresh thyme.
