The Olympics are over, 4th place the most shitty place there is. I’m still thinking about that 1 point, what if this didn’t happen? or that didn’t happen? But I can’t do anything about it anymore. Done is done. I had a really difficult week of racing where a lot of things happened. Sometimes you are in a flow during a event and sometimes you're not! Then you have to fight hard for it. I fought this week but it was just not enough. I’m really thankful for my coach Jacco Koops He is one of the most driven people I know. He helped me to grow, not only as a windsurfer but also as a person. Coming from nowhere to winning Medals at all big events. He knows how to motivate me in really tough times. Top sport is hard but it makes you stronger. You're a amazing coach! Also @casperbouman helped us fulltime this last year. This guy is one off the most helpful person I know. So much fun hanging out with you, he made me an allround windsurfer. Thanks Cas for being there for me and helping me to get where I am now. Besides Casper and Jacco I also want to Thank Bruce Kendall. A legend in Windsurfing. He also helped me a lot for 2 years as a expert trainer. A great person with amazing technical skills.
