If you want wi-fi and coffee but don't feel like enduring a scene, one good retreat for you may be Bidonville at 47 Willoughby. Bidonville means shantytown in French and the cafe's interior manages to take you there with charming minimalism. The place is owned by a lovely hubby and wife team. On my last visit I nearly fell asleep on the back couch.
