Time for me to be pedantic...not for the sake of some stupid undergroud music knowledge superiority but more for possibly exposing you to more bands and also to prevent you from being attacked by trolls in the future.
Gridlink is more of a grindcore band and powerviolence isn't a suitable tag for them.
Powerviolence is a more suitable term for bands like Crossed Out and Man is the Bastard, who showed strong changes between fast and slow tempos, but it could also describe bands like Spazz and Capitalist Casualties who came close to playing grindcore with all of the metal leanings strained out. Really, it's not a real genre but rather a term that was used to describe a niche of early-to-mid '90s hardcore, mostly from the west coast.
