#MuvLuv ep14: "Don't Die" #anime 

After a long, long break from the show, I'm happy to pick things back
up again. Though I picked a terrible spot to be interrupted. I
didn't even finish the Russian arc before it completed.

It looks like Commander Latrova ("The Thunder God" I think her
nickname was) perished at the hands of that bad ass Russian assassin.
And her entire battalion was wiped out completing their mission to
annihilate the encroaching Laser-class BETA. Still despite the fact
that they got completely screwed over by their corrupt superiors,
their lasting legacy may not just be the temporary peace they brought,
but also Yuuya himself. It looks like the spoiled arrogant pilot may
be ready to finally take the lead.

Overall, I really enjoyed this arc. It was dark, grim, brutal, and
lots of bratty kids died. It was right up my alley. It satisfied the
grimdark loving oldfag Gundam fan in me quite well.

I think things move to America next, I'll be quite interested to see
how things work out there. I wonder if the show will take the Jeremy
Clarkson approach of just portraying all Americans as fat, stupid,
rude and violent?
