#MuvLuv ep15: what have you done for me lately? #anime 

You would think that priorities are a little skewed in this military
with everyone fighting over rank, privilidge and status. But those
are base things that humans seem to strive for, even in the harshest
of times. With the theater moved back to Alaska for the meantime, it
seems that Yuuya brought back a little something extra with him. A
greatly bolstered reputation, though he already had an impressive,
though somewhat smeered one before, everyone's heard of his exploits
with the Type 99 on the Far East front. And one by one the aces are
popping out of the woodwork to see if he measures up to his newley
acquired legend.

The Chinese chick, Lt. Cui (I have the hardest time figuring out
Chinese pronunciations) seems a bit off, but not bad. She may have a
crush on Yuuya thanks to that legend of his. It's just another
example of how this show comes dangerously close to harem territory
for me. Still, I'll give her a fair shot. I enjoy competent female
piltots. I abhor terrible ones.

Yuuya's next challengers appears to be this Leon guy. Probably an ace
on par or above Yuuya's level. Their definitely strong rivals. The
only thing their scene was missing was that classic spark of
electricity that flashes rivals meet eyes.

The show is moving in an interesting direction. I fear the
frivolousness of some of this tournament and some of the goofy antics,
but the show has proven itself to be genuinely entertaining in a long
spurts. I'm willing to visit this hyper-competetive Top Gun world
again.
