2 versions of banana bread in mini loaf pans. I prefer the 1st one, SO prefers the 2nd. #cookingathome
Thanks to the internet, I've been reunited with the very first banana bread recipe I ever tried (Joy of Cooking, 7th edition, 1997). The other recipe is similar but even easier to make. I used chocolate chips instead of nuts in both.
The first one has a stronger banana flavour and is more moist, the second one is slightly denser with a stronger cinnamon and vanilla flavours.
#1 Joy of Cooking, slightly modified version of the 7th Ed. recipe (top row, darker colour, left side) - http://www.thefreshloaf.com/recipes/bananabread
#2 Joy of Baking (bottom row, lighter colour, right side) - http://www.joyofbaking.com/breakfast/BananaBread.html
The unaltered 7th Ed recipe can be found here - http://tasteofhomecooking.blogspot.ca/2009/05/banana-bread.html
Still looking for an affordable copy of the book.
