lunch @ tony's bakery & deli on mlk way *food 8*
Bahn mi, avocado boba, cupcake (more of a soft angel cake sans frosting)
and that's my friend Rina's dessert, described as "vietnamese dessert"
(banana and casava in coconut milk, served warm). I tried a spoonful and
was surprised at how delicious it was even though it initially looked
like mystery food to me.
The ladies there are sweet, especially Yum, who greeted us and helped us
with our order, wanted us to try more food and eat more and "come back
soon".
I will definitely return soon. Until then, I purchased housemade pork
rinds and a brioche sized cupcake cake to take home with me.
