Well, it turns out that I was wrong, thankfully…just planing the bed closer to final thickness was enough! Progress on the mitre plane. Bed is fitted and ready for riveting, and I'm working on the bun shape. Everclear in an old Tabasco bottle is very handy for dropping on a rag or adding to your shellac rubber.
