Good way to spend a special day 

Volunteering in Monson MA with Mike Dolliver from AmeriCorps, Carol, Scott, Dave, Rich, Tim and me. We were helping a family who had lost the roof of their house in the June's tornadoes. The home had been since gutted down to the studs because of the water damage, and the family was living in a trailer. We were helping the dad move boxes and clean out the basement so the renovation crews could begin rebuilding the home. Now Mike and I are driving back to Leicester for a low-key cookout with Jen and the fam. I hadn't hung out with Mike in about four years, so in all, it was a rewarding day and a rewarding birthday.
