My hair had grown out long and
shaggy—not in that sexy-young-
rock-star kind of way but in that
time-to-take-Rover-to-the-
groomer kind of way.

“ Sure. What's the worst that could
happen."
Twenty minutes later, we had
our answer. "I can't frecking
believe this."
I cringed. "I'm so sorry."
"I'm bald!" Giguhl continued. "I
look like a freak."
"It's not that bad," I said. But it
was. Oh, my lord was it bad. I'd
never seen an uglier cat in my
entire life.

I’ve seen knives pierce the
chest,
Children dying in the road
Crawling things hooked and
baited,
Rapists bound and then
castrated,
Villains singed in public square.
Yet none these sights did make
me cringe
Like when my Love cut all her
hair.

“ I was hot so I gave myself a
haircut. I then saw a bald man
sweating, so I offered to tweeze
his eyebrows. He accepted and
was so grateful that he offered
to trade mustaches with me. In
remembrance of that special
bonding moment, I still wear his
mustache over my left nipple.
