Vergelijk jezelf met niemand anders dan jezelf. Beat yesterday. Dat betekent niet dat je iedere dag beter moet zijn dan gisteren, zowel het leven als hardlopen is geen lineair proces. Maar ook de lastige dagen, de dagen die op het eerste gezicht niet zo geslaagd lijken, horen bij het proces en maken je uiteindelijk beter. Geloof in het proces en probeer er zoveel mogelijk van te genieten.

Ik heb - op een paar uitstapjes na - al sinds januari 2014 een Garmin horloge. Dat begon met de Forerunner 620 en inmiddels ben ik geüpgrade naar Fenix 5S plus. Ik draag hem 24/7. Ik heb de tan-lines om dit te bewijzen.
