My therapist gave me permission to run a 10K without stopping after every K. All went very smooth, until after 7.5K my knee said "bye now, you figure this out yourself". Running was not an option anym

Vergelijk jezelf met niemand anders dan jezelf. Beat yesterday. Dat betekent niet dat je iedere dag beter moet zijn dan gisteren, zowel het leven als hardlopen is geen lineair proces. Maar ook de lastige dagen, de dagen die op het eerste gezicht niet zo geslaagd lijken, horen bij het proces en maken je uiteindelijk beter. Geloof in het proces en probeer er zoveel mogelijk van te genieten.

Mijn proces houd ik niet alleen bij met foto’s, wedstrijduitslagen en de blogs die ik over hardlopen schrijf, maar ook met mijn vertrouwde Garmin. Ik heb - op een paar uitstapjes na - al sinds januari 2014 een Garmin horloge. Dat begon met de Forerunner 620 en inmiddels ben ik geüpgrade naar Fenix 5S plus. Ik draag hem 24/7. Ik heb de tan-lines om dit te bewijzen.
