Ik heb nog zo gezegd, geen bommetje! Tomorrow I’m jumping in front of a home crowd in Leverkusen! It’s the second edition of the Bayer Classics and it looks like it’s going to be a great competition! I’m jumping at 19:30h. More infos in my story ✌🏻.
My 2,22m from Bühl. I’m in good shape and I have a good “Bums im Fuß” (any Germans that can give me a good translation for that?) at the moment. Had some struggles with my run up on Friday, let’s fix that on Wednesday!
Bad Douwe! I’m in very good shape, I just sometimes keep myself from making the most of it. 2nd place with 2,22m today. On to the Bayer Classics at the home track on Wednesday! You can see all my jumps in my stories thanks to @gasparepro! 📸: @skone212
Time to fly again! Jumping in Bühl around 19h. It’s a good field on a good track with great atmosphere, so I’m excited to see what’s possible tonight!
Had a great weekend with my sisters. Winding down, relaxing and recharging is important. Even (or maybe especially) in the middle of competition season. I'm ready for my next block of comps. Friday the 19th in Bühl, Wednesday the 24th in Leverkusen and Sunday the 28th nationals in Den Haag!
When you had to leave the hotel at 5 am after jumping two competitions in three days and are still doing stuff but actually feel like your asleep and can’t keep your eyes open.
My third attempt at 2,21m! Not bad at all! And you can see I had some fun too 😉.
6th with 2,24m at the @gyulaimemorial. Some things you can only figure out in competition and I’m figuring them out. Had some good jumps at 2,28m, but I also needed three attempts on 2,21m and 2,24m, hence the figuring things out. I’ll keep figuring!
So I made one good jump today, and that’s this one. Messy competition with some weird jumps. Happy I found my way back to deliver this jump, too bad I got lost again after it. No worries though, I know what went wrong and I know what to do about it! Flying to Hungary 🇭🇺 tomorrow and jumping on Tuesday!
Time for another two competitions with this guy. Viersen 🇩🇪 tomorrow and Budapest 🇭🇺 on Tuesday! 🚀 🚀 🚀

When you run out of ice with this weather 🥵 (Or maybe just missed your last attempt on 2,27m).
Voor de volledigheid ook mijn sprong over 2,24m van afgelopen zaterdag in Sinn.
Misschien wel mijn beste sprong van dit seizoen tot nu toe, mijn sprong over 2,20m van afgelopen zaterdag.
2nd place in Sinn with a SB of 2,24m! It’s coming, it’s coming. This jump was my second attempt at 2,27m. Every competition I’m getting better, now I just need to keep my patience and keep chipping away. Challenge accepted!

Weekend! Time to relax. So I’ve been a busy bee lately redecorating the kitchen. Well, no need for the re there, I’ve started decorating it finally. Anyone any guesses at what skyline that is? It’s probably very inaccurate and therefore not so easy to guess... BUT I LIKE IT, OKAY?
Have fun. I promise you it will make everything easier (or at least more fun 😉). Goofing around with @mateuszprzybylko during the competition last Sunday.
Mijn laatste poging op 2,25m was erg goed. M’n zwaarte punt is hoog genoeg, maar ik zette iets te ver af, waardoor ik op de lat land. De latpassage moet ook nog iets beter, maar dat komt nog wel!
4th in Rehlingen with 2,22m! Good second comp. Had some nice attempts at 2,25m, but it didn’t fit just yet. I’m definitely on the right track though!
Put up the bar, I’m ready to jump! Competition day! At 18h it’s time to jump again this time @weltklasse_in_rehlingen! I’m excited!
Dutchies! Deze week zijn de kwalificatie-eisen voor de Olympische Spelen in Tokyo 2020 gepubliceerd. Ik moet 2,33m springen of in de top 32 van de IAAF ranking staan op 29 juni 2020 om mij te kwalificeren. Ik sta op dit moment op plek 34!
