Got 2nd with 2,20m yesterday. After my first two competitions, where I didn’t really know what I was doing well and what not, I now have had two competitions where I knew what I was doing well, and was able to build on that. My run up is starting to fit and my jump over 2,20m yesterday was the first jump in competition where I felt all the building blocks where at least present (not executed as well as I can, but it’s a start). I got 1,5 weeks to prepare for nationals to build further and work on the things that didn’t go so well yet yesterday!

Where I sort of assumed I would be able to start off from where I ended last season, it seems I need to work my way to good jumps just like I did last year. A little more patience is required. Today was the first competition this year upon which I can build, which is a big step forward. So it won’t be too long before I figure these jumps out now. This jump over 2,18m shows how I produce quite some height, even though the last 3 steps are not attacking enough (at all). I know where to go from here, so let’s keep going. Next one this Wednesday in Athlone, Ireland! Got 2nd with 2,20m yesterday. After my first two competitions, where I didn’t really know what I was doing well and what not, I now have had two competitions where I knew what I was doing well, and was able to build on that.
