Got 2nd with 2,20m yesterday. After my first two competitions, where I didn’t really know what I was doing well and what not, I now have had two competitions where I knew what I was doing well, and was able to build on that. My run up is starting to fit and my jump over 2,20m yesterday was the first jump in competition where I felt all the building blocks where at least present (not executed as well as I can, but it’s a start). I got 1,5 weeks to prepare for nationals to build further and work on the things that didn’t go so well yet yesterday! It’s nationals week! Time to try and bring some gold medals to Leverkusen. That’s a dozen! My 12th Dutch title with 2,15m. But all of these 12 titles come with their own story. The story of this one, is one of a silver lining, to a sad week. One week ago I lost my grandfather, who we paid our last respects to on Thursday. Making this week not about jumping, but about family. Being able to take the win today, with my family there to support me (you can hear them in the background in my stories) was all I cared about for today. ♥️
